The picture is of me at the DC Thomson/ Beano Office Birthday Party in Dundee, with my treasured Rasher Mask. (That Noble Animal is my hero). Behind me can be seen part of the giant inflatable "70", in which one young sub-editor from Bratz magazine was seen being carried off at the end of the evening, as in a life-saver. A great party, with the requisite amounts of fun and mischief.
The Largecow Gallery now includes the three page comic of The Owl and the Pussycat drawn for The Beano recently. It was a bit of an experiment for them, and it was very well received by the readers. So we're working on a few more adapted poems. Watch this space.
The Largecow Book Shop finally has stocks of PussPuss, my 36 page comic. For obscure reasons I've been unable to put it on the list until now, but I recommend it to adults with an odd sense of humour. PussPuss is yet another cartoon cat, but one with attitude. You wouldn't want to wake up on a Sunday morning with him poking his bum in your face demanding a tin of duck and heart in jelly. The comic consists of twenty-odd stories of 1, 2 or 3 pages, detailing feline bullying and selfishness to a grotesque degree. I re-read it the other night for the first time in about 15 years - it's...a bit bonkers. And funny.
The Largecow Cartoon Shop is constantly putting new drawings on sale, with some bargains and a lot of laughs. Take a look.
