380mm x 310mm. Brush and ink on paper with some stick-on lettering. Early 1980s. A Birmingham businessman with interests in The Turf commissioned me to do a series of Racing Cartoons, which were printed as posters and distributed to a network of betting shops for publicity purposes. The drawings are slightly battered now, and interestingly stained and faded, but are in excellent condition. I've always liked them, and am even now a bit reluctant to let them go. They'll look great mounted and framed. This one is a slight twist on an obvious pun. The reverse of the sheet has some unfinished drawing; the horse and rider shown is the most coherent bit.
